SMart is a not-for-profit community interest company with a small number of volunteer directors.
Encouraging equality, diversity and inclusion in the arts is at the heart of SMart’s core values. One of our underlying objectives is to promote greater transparency and connectivity across all art and culture activities in Shepton Mallet, for practitioners and the community at large
Our ambition is to see Shepton Mallet become recognised as a regional centre for the arts, working with local, regional and national partners in the creative arts.
SMart is a not-for-profit organisation, dependent on external funding support. We are very grateful to Shepton Mallet Town Council for generously supporting us to create the branding for SMart and this website.
We actively seek funding from elsewhere to support the continuing work of SMart and welcome donations and legacies to establish and sustain Shepton Mallet as a regional centre of excellence for the arts and culture.
